Description
Players that love to control the court and a sleeker paddle head design will feel right at home with the Gamma RCF Obsidian (2024) Pickleball Paddle. The tapered edges allow you to bring the paddle where you need it, when you need it. By reducing drag with its specialized edge design, the paddle has faster swing speed that gives you a critical advantage. Combined with the raw carbon hitting surface, you’ll have the unbelievable spin needed to send opponents all across the court for the ball.
What upgrades were made for the 2024 model? The Toray T700 carbon fiber is the major upgrade here. It is a material renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. The science behind this lies in its molecular structure, where tightly packed carbon atoms form a crystalline matrix. This structure offers high tensile strength, allowing the paddle to resist deformation under stress. For players, this means increased power and control, as the rigidity of carbon fiber ensures that energy from your swing is efficiently transferred to the ball. Moreover, the lightweight nature of the material enhances maneuverability, allowing for quicker reaction times and more precise shots.
The paddle’s thermoformed construction is another key technological advancement. Thermoforming involves heating and molding the paddle materials under high pressure, which results in a more consistent and durable structure. This technology not only enhances the paddle’s durability but also improves shot accuracy and reliability.
The 2024 edition RCF Obsidian paddles are now compatible with the RCF Airbender End Cap Weights accessory, so you can customize the weight and balance of your paddles!
